  3. Station your menorah on a sturdy, non-flammable surface
  4. Make sure your smoke detectors are working
  5. Keep candles out of reach of children and pets
  6. Keep fabric and paper away from your menorah

Holiday Safety Tips for your Christmas Tree:

  1. Choose a tree that is fresh with green needles
  2. Water your tree daily
  3. Place tree away from heat sources such as heaters or fireplaces
  4. Do not leave lights on unattended
  5. Do not overload electrical outlets
  6. Inspect lights for frayed wires before placing them on your tree
  7.  Use lights that are listed by a qualified testing laboratory
  8. Do not use lit candles to decorate your tree
  9. Make sure tree is not blocking an exit
  10. Have a fire extinguisher nearby
  11. Always turn off your Christmas tree lights before going to bed
